I’m Dayve Ward, a professional product photographer based in the UK. Beyond my commercial work, I continue my lifelong passion for photography and art through personal projects, image and print-making, many of which are shared here.
I’ve always been captivated by the visual world around me, using photography and art to capture its light, form, and atmosphere. I see composition, colour, texture, and shape everywhere; elements that inspire every image I make.
Living in Cumbria, I’m constantly drawn to the landscape, the play of light across the fells and lakes brings a sense of calm and tranquillity to my work. I’m equally inspired by the vibrancy of cities, where colour, movement, and energy create a different kind of visual rhythm. I also have a deep fascination with the man-made and forgotten; disused places, old buildings, and discarded objects with their past glory, whose textures and histories tell their own stories.
Through all my photography, I aim to capture not just what I see, but the feeling of being there; the atmosphere, stillness, or vitality that defines a moment in time.
Monotype printmaking is my way of exploring ideas through texture, colour, and process. I’m drawn to layered surfaces, organic marks, and the unexpected moments that appear as an image develops. Each print becomes a balance of intention and chance, creating work that feels both expressive and unique.
Art and photography are often treated as separate disciplines, but here they are approached as equals. Both are simply different ways of seeing, interpreting, and expressing the world. Whether created with a lens or by hand, each piece begins with the same intent, that is to explore ideas, capture moments, and communicate something beyond the surface. This space brings them together not as categories to compare, but as mediums working side by side.
